Are you looking to add a kitten or pair of kittens to your home?! Take a look at these 5-month old cuties! Kittens are adopted in pairs or into homes with another kitten or young, active cat. Nugget is a brown tabby with very distinct, unique markings on her back and a little white chest. Nugget is the only female of her litter, but she definitely holds her own. At times she can be a tiny bit shy, but loves to snuggle up for belly rubs and to be pet all over!Bean is an all black boy who truly looks like a little panther. He is super playful, outgoing, and gets along great with his siblings. He loves to wrestle with his siblings and to play with balls.Lentil, a super friendly boy, is black with a cute little dab of white on his chest. He's super sweet and gentle, and loves to play with his siblings. He also enjoys laying on your lap or chest for pets!Star is a brown tabby boy with somewhat muted markings and a cute white chest. Star is the smallest in his litter, but he's truly a star! Star is definitely a people kitty and loves to be around his humans.Basil is a gorgeous brown tabby with very deep, distinct markings and white socks. He is super playful and fun to be around; he loves to play with his siblings. He loves to play with balls and to play in his kitty tunnel. All five of these gorgeous kittens are neutered/spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, have been dewormed, and are microchipped; their mother tested negative for FIV & FeLV as well. None of them have been exposed to dogs, but we anticipate that all of them, except for Nugget, would do well with a dog with proper introductions (we think Nugget may be a bit too shy for a pup).DC Metro area. She loves batting around toys, roughing up the occasional slipper, and wrestling with her sister. She’s social, active, and happiest when she has a buddy to play with. Meet Mr. Mittens! Mr. Mittens is a ten-year-old who had tried to be the one that “saves” other cats.In his journey, he is so calm in a veterinary setting that his previous foster screened him to be a blood donor for other kitties. He was found as a stray wants a quiet place to call his own. (He doesn’t do well with other cats, dogs, or small children).Mr. Mittens with his large green eyes always seems to ask if “maybe you are going to be the one that saves me.” Mr. Mittens' adoption fee is reduced because he is a "senior" cat. He has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, and combo tested negative for FIV and FeLV.DC Metro area. Apply to adopt him online at https://fourpaws.org/adopt-a-cat/ ... Stray and Feral Cats

Found a stray or feral cat in Fairfax County? Help is available through Fairfax County Animal Services (FCAS).

Stray cats (lost or abandoned):
Email: animalshelter@fairfaxcounty.gov

Feral or community cats (unowned and outdoors):
Email: communitycats@fairfaxcounty.gov

FCAS supports community cats — including feral and semi-socialized cats, outdoor-born kittens, and lost or abandoned cats. They offer:

  • Community Cat Spay/Neuter: For feral and unsocialized cats who cannot live safely indoors. Cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their outdoor home.
  • Return to Home: Helps reunite lost or stray owned cats with their families, reducing shelter intake and keeping pets with the people who love them.
  • Intake Triage & Rehoming: Evaluates and cares for unowned kittens and adult cats, ensuring they receive appropriate placement through foster care or adoption.
  • Identification Support: Promotes microchipping and ID-tagged collars for owned and managed cats to make reunification with caregivers and families faster and easier.

If you find an injured cat, FCAS will assist if you bring it in during their operating hours.
