Meet Abby: she is a full figured female, approximately eight years old, spayed, current on vaccines, and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Abby doesn’t like being confined so meeting her at an adoption fair is not the best option. Better to meet Abby in her foster home where her true personality can shine. And one thing about Abby—she has LOTS of personality. While she can be somewhat temperamental (stubborn and opinionated, also), Abby is mainly a loving and cuddly feline companion. You can see in her video that Abby also has a playful, spunky side.

What Abby has to give:

  • Lots of love
  • Cuddles, hugs and licks
  • Devoted companionship
  • Interactive playfulness—especially when chasing a laser light or rolling around with a catnip toy
  • Smarts, cunning and persistence

What Abby needs to get:

  • A person who is patient and willing to give Abby time to get comfortable and initiate contact
  • A home where she is either the only pet or shares a house with non-dominant pets that give Abby the respect she deserves.
  • Sturdy scratching posts which she will love to use
  • A large litter box with tall sides, but no lid (she is a superb litter-box-user)
    A home without small children
  • People who intuitively understand a cat with a strong female personality and who will respect Abby, but not be intimidated
  • A home without small children

Are you the one that Abby has been waiting to meet? Do you have a comfortable lap? Abby would love to test it out and if it fits, she will be happy to keep it warm for you. Abby’s favorite past time is to climb into a comfy lap and park for the evening in front of the television.

Abby is a very special girl. She is not for everyone, but she will be a loving and devoted companion to someone who will be patient and understanding of her sometimes temperamental nature. Abby has been in foster care for more than two years, waiting for the person who will take her away from all of this….
