Rita was abandoned inside a large cardboard box in
front of a Petco store - along with five other cats.
All the cats in the box were in good condition and do
not behave like they were neglected.
Rita is young – only about 1 ˝ to 2 years old.
Rita has a deformed front left leg that was likely a
birth defect. Our vet says that she is missing a
bone in her lower leg, and has an extra one up by her
shoulder. Her leg doesn’t cause her any pain –
or slow her down!
Rita is very good with other cats and rabbits and
isn’t afraid of friendly dogs. She is a very
gentle and sweet cat but she does take some time to
adjust to change. She would be best in a home
with another cat or cats that will let her hang out
with them.
Rita is up to date with her rabies and distemper
shots, is spayed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
Hi - my name is Dominique and I am one lucky boy!
I was lost and hungry. Luckily, a 4Paws
volunteer's tapped me in her back yard. They
thought that I was wild at first, but once inside,
they realized that I was not feral at all. I was
just some one's pet that ended up outdoors having to
take care of myself.
Because I had to fend for myself, I can be little
rough around the edges when playing. I
just so love playing and attention that I get over
overexcited. My foster mom says that I
roughhouse just like a little boy. I love
company and sit on my foster mom's lap for a kiss and
cuddle. I also love to be sung to softly, even
by people who cannot carry a tune.
During my travels outdoors, I learned to be leery of
strangers. Consequently, I will need a little
time to adapt to my new home. I am a bossy
boy, so any other cat would have to accept my
authority. I would also be happy to have my own
house to rule.
I have tested negative for FELV/FIV, am neutered, and
am current on my distemper and rabies vaccines. I am
approximately 7 years old.
